Who do I make checks out to?

Make the checks out to the Seattle Foundation.

For every donation made, 1/2 of the total donation will go to the BAM Scholarship Fund.  The remaining funds will be split equally between the Rotary Boys & Girls Club and the Special Olympics of Washington.

The Seattle Foundation will not provide any goods or services to you in exchange for a contribution to the African American Heritage Fund – BAM Scholarship Fund. As a component fund of The Seattle Foundation, the Foundation has the authority to redirect distributions of the African American Heritage Fund – BAM Scholarship Fund if it becomes necessary to protect donor intent.

Can I sponsor a player?

Yes.  Just fill out the pledge form.  Pledgee's can also fill out the form for someone else (just make sure they know about it :-).

Game Format

Both the softball and soccer games will be one continuous game between 2 teams.  Teams will play in 1.5 hour shifts.  We will use staggered team substitution so each team team will play against 2 other teams for 45 minutes each.   For example: Team A starts at 1:00 pm against Team B.  At 1:45 pm, Team A will exit the field and Team B will begin playing Team C.  At 2:30 pm, Team B will exit and Team C will begin playing Team D, so forth.

Event Day Details

The event day is Saturday, July 12, 2008.  The venue is the Microsoft ball field located right off of 156th Ave on the main campus.  We will be getting started around 7am.  Everyone on your team should arrive no less than 30 minutes before your team's playing time. The team captains will receive the complete day's schedule a week before the event.  Each captain must check in at the registration table, where we'll confirm that any non-fulltime MS employees on your team have signed a liability waiver. The team captains should also drop off the pledge sheets and money collected from team members at the registration table.

Food and drinks will be provided free of charge to paid participants only.

COME READY TO PLAY, RAIN OR SHINE

We'll play through rain, as long as the field isn't dangerous. But no matter the weather, come on out, don't assume we're not playing. We'll have facilities personnel and power equipment at the field all day, so we'll be able to play through just about anything. And this is Seattle, so no matter how much its raining at your house, it might be just fine here.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Pledge forms and money collected. Drop these off at the registration tent (behind the centerfield on the softball diamond) when you arrive.
  • Sunglasses (on this field, these are very important) and sunscreen.
